In addition to direction, barometric pressure and altitude, and temperature sensors, these models also include moon phase and Tide Graph functions, as well as a timer for use during yacht races. The surfaces of the large, one-push metal buttons are knurled for easy operation, and finished with gray ion plating for hefty and durable feel. The peripheries of the buttons are surrounded by urethane button guards to protect against operation error. These models offer a choice between a resin band, which is attached to the case with large screws for plenty of strength, and a lightweight pure titanium metal band that resists rust. The markings and knurling etched into the registry ring ads a touch of elegance, which makes these models the ultimate in modern outdoor gear both in terms of function and attention to detail.
